Spicy Fish Buddha Bowl

This Buddha Bowl is just what you need to keep mealtime balanced, with whole grains, veggies, protein, and a spicy sauce to top it all off!

  • 1 box Family Favourites English Style Fillets
  • 1 sweet potato
  • 1 avocado
  • 1-2 jalapeño peppers
  • 1-3 mushrooms
  • ½ a red onion
  • 1 cup instant rice (cooked quinoa or rice work well too)
  • Olive oil (for the veggies)
  • Salt and cayenne pepper (for the sweet potato)
  • Chili pepper flakes

Spicy Sauce

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha
Tips from the chef: Directions
  1. Cook English-Style Fillets according to package instructions.
  2. While fillets are cooking, cut up the vegetables into small pieces.
  3. Sauté mushrooms and set aside.
  4. Pour some olive oil into a frying pan; add sweet potato and a sprinkling of salt and cayenne pepper for taste. Stir and cook until tender.
  5. Prepare spicy sauce by mixing all ingredients together in a small bowl.
  6. Prepare your choice of base (instant rice, cooked rice, or cooked quinoa).
  7. Build your Buddha Bowl starting with the base (rice or quinoa), then add your veggies, avocado, and the cooked English-Style Fillets.
  8. Top the bowl off with some spicy sauce and chili pepper flakes.
